Hebrews 11:23-30
Moses lived a faithful life. But his life was not always an exemplary one. Yet, his story was amazing.
Exodus 3:1-15
Moses had insecurities and felt he was so inadequate to lead God’s rescue mission.
Exodus 4:1-13
Despite all reassurances from God that He would help Moses and teach him Moses still had his doubts. He allowed his insecurities and faithlessness get the best of him.
He wax trying to make God’s rescue mission about himself instead of greatness and power of God.
In our lives we can make the same mistake. Are we among a differences in where we are? There are people around us who are hurting just like Israelites were in the time of Moses.
We often come up with excuses.
God called us to change the world not because we are perfect. Quite in the contrary. We may have fears that we are unable to help people. But sometimes God just wants us to show up and be there for people who are going through difficult times.
When it comes to helping people don’t focus on what you can do, but on what God can do.
God knows us and God wants to use us. Just like with Moses, he will guide us, teach us and help us. All we need to do is be there.
Hebrews 11:23-25
Moses had a faith that allowed him to choose what was best. Life is full of choices. We can choose to eat healthy, be disciplined in our lives but all our choices have consequences.
It’s important that we make good choices when it comes to your spiritual lives.
God wants us to have a choice. Having a relationship with God or not is one of those choices. Moses chose to be with God instead of living the life of indulgence. Right choice is not always the easiest one. Moses chose mistreatment of his people instead of life in palace. He chose eternal over temporary.
The temporary things he lost could have been taken away from him. But what he gained could never have been taken away.
That’s what faith does. It gives way beyond what the world has to offer. We may choose to let faith determine our choices or continue to make choices based on sight.
God is calling us to make the right choice and live by faith and not by sight.
