Friendship of God

We explore what it means to live in friendship with God through worship, discipleship, and lordship. Looking at Mary’s costly worship, Jesus’ call to die to ourselves, and the meaning of communion, we are reminded that following Jesus is not a solo journey but a life of love, surrender, and community.

Join us this Sunday as we reflect on what it looks like to honor God with the full measure of what we have been given.

Loving God With All Your Heart

What does it mean to love God with all your strength? This message explores how true love for God goes beyond feelings and is expressed through action, sacrifice, obedience, and compassion. Looking at the example of Jesus, we are challenged to love God practically in the way we serve, give, and care for others.

the irony

Irony

Mark’s Gospel closes with an unexpected ending: the women encounter the empty tomb, then leave afraid—and it stops there.  That abrupt twist becomes a lens for three ironies that hit close to home.

Triumph of Jesus

When Jesus faced temptation in the wilderness, He triumphed not through power but through God’s Word. His victory shows us that true strength comes from obedience and trust in Scripture. When we resist the enemy with truth, he flees—and we share in Christ’s triumph.

parables of the kingdom

Parables of the Kingdom

From the tiny mustard seed that grows into a tree, to the treasure hidden in a field, each parable reminds us that the kingdom of heaven is both priceless and powerful. Jesus calls us to treasure His kingdom above all else, guard our hearts from hidden influences, and keep sharing the good news with the world until the net is full.

Jesus With People

As we begin our new series “Jesus and the People,” we are reminded that Jesus is the perfect image of the invisible God. Through His life, love, and sacrifice, He shows us what it means to live in God’s image. Each week, we’ll discover how looking to Jesus transforms our lives and calls us to reflect Him in the world.

Treasuring Hope

Treasuring Hope

What are you hoping for? In “Treasuring Hope,” we’re reminded that true hope isn’t wishful thinking—it’s a firm, soul-anchoring trust in God’s promises. Whether you’re walking through difficulty or joy, hope rooted in Christ transforms how we live today and gives us strength for tomorrow.

The Law and The Priesthood

The Law and The Priesthood

How does the law of Jesus compare to the law of Moses?
The Torah is the closest thing we get to a set of rules from God. But even amongst the 613 commands, there is narrative, mystery, and tension. No set of rules could be complete enough to guide the human heart. The Spirit knew we needed more and has given us a rich set of 66 books. The result is that we are often unable to just turn to a simple answer for the things we face. Rightly handling the word of God means that we must engage with the Spirit, engage with spiritual people, research theology and history, and above all else, pray.
