Friendship with God

Friendship with God

In John 12, Jesus moves toward Jerusalem, fully aware of the sacrifice ahead of him. As he prepares to pay the ultimate price, we are invited to consider what true friendship with God looks like.

Together, we will explore the cost of worship, lordship, and discipleship. Mary’s humble act of worship reminds us that friendship with God begins with a heart that sees Jesus as worthy of everything. The crowds at the triumphal entry challenge us to ask whether we want Jesus only as Savior, or also as Lord. And Jesus’ words about the seed that must fall to the ground show us that what feels like being buried may actually be God planting us to bear much fruit.
