Who we are

The Churches of Christ date back to the days of the New Testament (Romans 16:16). Christ ushered in the Church on the day of Pentecost, A.D. 33 (Acts 2), just fifty days after His crucifixion. In the years that followed these churches (assemblies –”ecclesia”) rapidly grew to fill Jerusalem, then Judea, Samaria and finally the whole earth (Acts 1:8; Colossians 1:23).

Organized and distinct groups with the name Churches of Christ are seen emerging in America late in the post- reformation period (1700’s). In our modern era the growth of the Churches of Christ as a religious group has been rapid in North America and throughout the world, undergoing various forms of reorganization and affiliation within different regions.

Today, the Churches of Christ are a family of Christian churches whose members are committed to living their lives in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the Bible.

We are a group of committed disciples who are a part of the International Churches of Christ.
