Solomon was on a pursuit of pleasure. Just like most of us today. The goal is to fill the void in our hearts.
Pleasures only provide temporary feel-good relief. But only God can truly fill that void.
Real, lasting happiness comes from God.
Where are you today? Are you in pursuit of happiness, wealth, popularity? Or are you searching for God?
Hebrews 11:23-26 Moses chose God instead of popularity. Following God often contradicts our pursuit of pleasures. At some point one has to make a choice to dedicate life to searching for God or for pleasures.
Unless God is at the center of our lives nothing will bring us true pleasure and comfort.
