The Hope of Heaven

New citizenship always requires certain prerequisites for those hoping to acquire it and these should form our actions and mindset. In Philippians (3:15-21), Paul reminds us that how we conduct ourselves matters, ultimately, we need to ask ourselves, is our mind on earthly things or are we focused on the hope of heaven?

Philippians 3:15-20

There are going to be a few things that we do not understand as disciples and that is ok. Concern ourselves we what we know, not what we do not know. How we conduct ourselves as a disciple matter. We need to conduct ourselves in a manner that is worthy of the gospel. We should always look at others better than ourselves. When we humble ourselves we are elevated and lifted up by God. If we don’t conduct ourselves in a godly way destruction will be our end. Some of us think that we are getting away with our wrongs but God sees and knows everything. Because our citizenship is in heaven it should influence the way that we live.

Revelation 21:1- 22

Listen to the Word of God and allow it to influence how we live our lives. We control ourselves when it comes to our government but we do whatever we feel like when it comes to the things ofGod. We need to remember that our citizenship is in heaven.
