Shining Like Stars

In Romans 2: 17 -24 and Philippians 2: 12-18, Paul admonishes the disciples to shine like stars in their warped and crooked generation. When it is dark, is when stars are seen the best. In the same way, in a warped, crooked and perverse generation, disciples of Christ can shine like stars by working on their salvation with fear and trembling because God can not be mocked or trifled with; by holding onto the word of life, and by conducting themselves in a manner worthy of Christ.

Phil 2:12-18

Salvation has three parts- justification, sanctification, and glorification.

We have to work out our salvation with fear and trembling that is the sanctification part of it. What does warp and crooked generation means? Both Jesus, Peter,  and Paul spoke about a warp and crooked generation. The closest star to earth is the sun.

Romans 2: 17-24

What are we like? What does your credit card statement say about you? What does your Facebook say about you?

It matters to God how we live our lives. Our Christian life is not a game, God is not to be trifled with.

John 8

We cannot live the life of a Devil and call ourselves Christians.

Phil 2

You shine like a star when you hold firmly to the scripture. We have to do everything without grumbling and complaining. Try this week to not grumble or complain. We are here for a particular reason, so that we can stand out and shine like stars. What would others say about you?
