This Changed Everything. Easter Service

More than a holiday celebration, Easter is a victory. From the curse of sin that is lifted, to the power unleashed within us, to the living hope we now have in Christ, Jesus’s death and resurrection changed everything

While coronavirus has changed a lot of what’s happening in the world it changed the way that we even worshipped this morning. Amazingly throughout the world people would be driving and dressing up and going to worship in their favorite place sometimes some early in the morning and a sunrise service.

It changed the way we shop it change the way we entertain. But I’m here to tell you this morning that it pales in comparison to what changed with the first Easter: the resurrection of Jesus.

The title of our service is “This changed everything.” That’s a bold statement.  This morning I want to encourage you to listen to what the scripture says. And you tell me if there’s not credibility to that statement: that this the first resurrection. The resurrection of Christ. When he conquered death indeed changed everything.

Of course, we know that there is no resurrection without death and so we’re going to spend the next few minutes talking about some changes that occurred because of those three remarkable days. The three most important days in all history. And the effect of those days when Jesus indeed was raised from the dead.
