Are we aware that our identity is not based on what we achieve, but what we have received from Christ who has set us free? Are we aware that our identity is not based on what we achieve, but what we have received from Christ who has set us free?
What is identity? It’s about yourself and how you regard yourself. Who are you? How do we regard ourselves? Whose we are?
John 10:1-3
We are shaped by our culture. We are who we are based on culture. What do we worship? What do we invest our time and energy in? God calls us by name we are identified by God.
Some fallacies:
We are going to become apart of a group that accepts us. We need to understand what is it that we are apart of. We try and define ourselves by how much we serve and how much money we give as Christians. Why do we struggle sometimes? It is how we live our lives as Christians and what we believe.
We are all sinners and Christ has been substituted for us. It is not what we do but who we are that will impact others around us. If Christ is not what we worship then we don’t have a true identity and we will not be able to make a difference. Are our identities stolen by society? When the world gets tired of you they will spit you out as if you never existed.
